Middlesex raid turns up moonshine operation
Sheriff’s deputies and a Virginia State Police tactical team went to Rogers’ shop on Dec. 21 after an investigation into a shooting that allegedly occurred there on Dec. 15. Among the items seized by a Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control investigator were two 15 gallon kegs with copper pipe fittings, a submersible pump with bucket and glass jar, various pipes, valves and tubing, a nylon stocking and filter, two open 2 pound bags of sugar and a 1 liter bottle containing a liquid substance, according to court documents.
They also retrieved four samples of mash taken from a barrel.
It was pretty clear to Sampson what was going on with all the seized items.

Rogers, 34, was jailed on charges of attempted malicious wounding, malicious shooting and use of a firearm in t replica watches he commission of a felony, according to court records.
