During the search detectives found drugs throughout the home. In the entryway of the first floor, detectives found a clear bag containing 56 smaller bags containing crack cocaine and a separate bag with cocaine. The report said the bags were found hidden in a ceiling light fixture.
In total there was 1.08 ounces of crack cocaine and 1.4 grams of cocaine, the report said. Police estimated the crack cocaine was valued at about $3,250, and the cocaine was $150.
Detectives also discovered about three grams of marijuana in the living room on the second floor, the report said.
Both were arrested Thursday and charged with possession of over an ounce of crack cocaine/cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine/cocaine with the intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of under 1/2 ounce replica watches of marijuana and risk of injury to a minor.
Both Mickens have prior convictions involving drugs, police said.
