Panicked celebrity pals Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson and Marlon Brando drove halfway across America after the terrorist attacks in 2001, according to an article in Vanity Fair.
The frightened trio were in New York when the Twin Towers fell on September 11. Unable to charter a priva rolex watches te jet to flee the city, they set out in a rental car instead. And they made it as far as Oh rolex watches io!
“Brando allegedly annoyed his travelling companions by insisting on stopping at nearly every KFC and Burger King they passed along the h rolex watches ighway,” Vanity Fair reporter Sam Kashner writes.
“One can only imagine rolex watches the shock their appearance caused at gas stations and rest stops across America.”
According to a former member of Jackson’s staff, the three friends travelled a total of 535 miles.
“They actually got as far as Ohio all three of them, in a car they drove themselves,’ he said.
Unfortunately none of the road trippers is around now to confirm or deny this story. Brando died aged 80 in July 2004, Jackson in June 2009, aged 50, and Taylor in March this year, aged 79.
