Micheal Plante explains how he got close to the East End Hells Angels
In part two of my series about Micheal Plante, the man who spent 10 years of his life committed to the E Pandora investigation and prosecutions, describes what he did to get close to the East End Hells Angels after he hatched his plan to infiltrate the chapter.
It started with some support wear, purchased at EEHA president John Bryce Hiway Choppers in Burnaby and he went to a gym that was then frequented by several in the chapter.
But it wasn until he started working at the Marble Arch strip club, again as a bouncer, that he reconnected with Randy Potts and then got invited by EE senior member Lloyd (Louie) Robinson to the clubhouse on East Georgia that the government is now trying to seize under the Civil Forfeiture Act.
Plante admits he got in over his head within months, being asked to participate in criminal offences and wondering if he had bit off more than he could chew.
Some of what Plante told me came out during his voir dire testimony in a trafficking case in which Ronaldo Lising and Nima Ghavami were charged (Lising was convicted and the charges against Ghavami were later stayed.)
Plante disclosed other details that weren part of court cases to police, who confirmed to me that he also told them he had undertaken this infiltration on his own with the objective of eventually helping police.
Goof! Thats a sure giveaway that you have served some time in a Cdn joint ar some time or that you hang around with people that gave. Thats jjust a observation but what I really want to say is that all thus shit talking reminds me of high school. I see a bunch of disrespectful gang bangers going around shooting people in public and endangering innocent people. Not the way ut was until all the Indo gangs got ramped up. What this country needs is a revampiing of iur gun crime laws so that we can put away some of you idiots for 25 to life or even better deport your dumb asses back to where they would behead you if you pulled off the shit you do here. I care nit if you want to kill eac other but I really get pissed when you feel you have the right to put the publuc at risk . Grow the F up you heat scores.
This guy sounds like a real jerk. Can make it as a cop so he decides to become a wanna be cop infiltrate the HA to rat them out. Something about that seems pretty shtty to me. It not suprising to me that he in hiding now and as far as I concerned let hope he stays hidden because any retribution he receives I think is well deserved.
He wasn asked to help the cops but took it upon himself to get involved. Litte big man syndrome and kind of digusting. A rat is the worst thing you can be. I think he scum tbh.
Very gripping stuff and well written. After hours of interviews with Plante, do you truely believe he dreamed up this idea of infiltrating the HA after reading a book? With his own admission of getting way over his head and getting arrested, one can only assume that the cops turned him, offered him the million dollars and witness protection if he rolled on all these guys?
For a guy who says his sole focus in life was to be a cop, he lived in such a way that would contracdict his public goals. Steroids, fights, drugs, bouncing at seedy bars etc. None of my friends who tried for years to be a cop chose this life style when things didn go their way. As an outsider it seems all to convenient.
Just curious if you can share your opinion?
I believe him, as to several of the cops I talked to. ( told us the same thing, they said.) But no doubt, he also thought he might be able to write a book out of this, which can bring in money and some fame. The key is that he was NOT offered the million dollars until June 2004, after he had already been wearing a wire for three months and was an agent for nine months before that. So he undertook the risky task for some money, but not the big $1 million pay out. Plante did make a living off this case for a number of years. But as he pointed out to me, that if you spread what he got, minus taxes, over a decade, it would have been likely working a good normal job with no risk attached.
The last point in your response is why I doubt his sincerity. I believe he loved the feeling of being respected by a group of feared men; a feeling that was amplified by the rejection he felt as failed police recruit. I dont know the man personally but the oidea of working a good job wasn an option for Plante; if it were he would have done it. Sounds like a man who lacked the upbringing that would provide the support and sense of belonging that ultimately the HA provided for him. A similar sceneario that plays out for many we read about on a weekly basis. However for Plante, he realized after it was too late, that he was not cut out for this life and took this deal. Either way I agree it was couragous, just a bit too hollywood for me to believe his motivation.
Sincere, interesting co rolex watches mment. I think all too often the word psychopath is misunderstood. People have Hollywood images of Hannibal etc.
is a personality disorder that has been variously characterized by shallow emotions (including reduced fear, a lack of empathy, and stress tolerance), coldheartedness, egocentricity, superficial charm, manipulativeness, irresponsibility, impulsivity, criminality, antisocial behavior, also a lack of rolex watches remorse realize that these traits can be found at varying within people. In fact, many successful business leaders, ceo etc have these traits. Go figure. Anyways, not all psychopaths are equal. Many of the people who gravitate to the life are in fact psychopaths at some level or another. Try reasoning with them with the assumption that they have at some base level, values that resemble yours and you could end up dead.
With all the members in the news for serious crimes against humanity you think they sit down and show the public some accountability. Psychopaths won show accountability because they have no empathy or remorse. Instead they organize a toy run.
Kim has graciously offered numerous times an opportunity to speak but instead they target her, painting her unfair, just as they do the police. Their media relations manipulation in the press demonstrates the different levels of psychopathy. They twist their own behaviours projecting claims the police are intimidating them. How are the police intimating them? 99% of society don want this in their neighbourhoods. This isn a police conspiracy against them, the police work for the people. They have effectively used the divide and conquer tactic to create a majority belief that the police are bad guys who target good people.
This is above neighbours coming forward saying they make great neighbours. Of course they do, these guys rarely shit in their own backyards. They do it it other neighbourhoods; murders, beatings, prositution, money laundering, extortion, drug sales, dumping grow and meth chemicals in the environment. Also keep in mind, after 60 years of this psychopathic fungus spreading throughout the province, they managed to acquire a great deal of high end real estate.
If psychopaths account for 1% of the population, is it a coincidence that they call themselves 1% ers?
